Our Legacy

Our “legacy” began in 1978, by Billy Williams, Owner of CENTURY 21 Billy Williams & Associates in Greeneville, TN. The company was founded on the principle of providing Sales Associates with the “tools” necessary to be the most well-trained, cutting edge, knowledgeable, and professional in the industry in order to provide superior Real Estate services to the community.

In 2004, Jamie Skeen purchased and re-named the company, CENTURY 21 Legacy. The company continued to grow and expand. In 2008, a location was opened in Kingsport, TN. In 2009, we were pleased to become the Cartus Relocation Principle Broker for the area. In 2014, we purchased an additional branch office in Johnson City, TN and moved our Greeneville location into a 7,000 square foot facility. In December of 2017 we expanded to the Knoxville area and in 2018 we broadened our reach in Knoxville and moved into Maryville. In 2020, the company continued to grow by purchasing branches in Pigeon Forge, TN, Gatlinburg, TN, and Townsend, TN. The CENTURY 21 Legacy Commercial division was also started in 2020. A location in Athens, TN joined the Legacy family in 2022.

The company has a rich history of dedication to our profession and our community. Our team is comprised of several Past Presidents of NETAR, members of various professional committees, MLS boards, TAR, and NAR. We boast members of many charitable organizations as well as board members of financial and educational institutions. The company has been a proud supporter of Easter Seals for over 35 years.

Today, based on the principles of our founder and the dedication of our entire team, the “legacy” continues to flourish. We are proud to be the #1 company for CENTURY 21 Real Estate LLC in Tennessee in both units and gross commissions and #8 in the Nation based on units sold. During this past calendar year, over $261,000 has been donated to local charities through our Leaving a Legacy Fund since its implementation in 2016.
